Swindon based event management company Planet Pursuits toasts the success of its third year running Christmas Parties in Swindon. Over 4500 people attended the 2008 Ocean's 14 - Las Vegas theme party. The company is now planning Hollywood with a capacity of 450 and plans to open a second venue for 300 in Swindon for 2010.
Planet Pursuits is no stranger to delivering large scale theme parties, but ticketed events are a new development for this entrepreneurial company. Director, Simon Maddison, spotted a gap in the market in Swindon and took a punt on a five year contract for hiring out December at the exhibition hall at Steam - The Museum of the GWR. It looks like the punt has paid off as Simon's expectation were exceeded with over 10 full party nights.
He's now planning a similar approach to host a summer music style festival on the family organic farm in Purton next year- watch this 'event' space!
